Detroit's Historic Woodmere Cemetery Tour  (Tours)
Saturday, May 13
11:00 am to 3:00 pm
Woodmere Cemetery, Detroit, Michigan
This is the third time I will be doing a tour of this nature--the first time, it rained the whole time and the second time, it was very hot--but the tours were sold out and we had so much fun even though the weather was not too cooperative.  So, this time I have scheduled the tour a month earlier than before (I had chosen the Saturday closest to my late grandmother's birthdate as a tribute to her since she was the one who introduced me to Woodmere, but sorry, Grandma, but the weather just has not been too kind to us so I am making the tour a little earlier). This is a walking/driving tour of Woodmere Cemetery.  It includes a Busch's Market box lunch, handouts, and a lot of surprises during the tour.  We will visit the famous and the not-so-famous (but have some very interesting storeis) gravesites of those who made history in Detroit in one form or another.  This tour lasts about four hours and begins with a tour of the chapel.  A registration form is attached.  Tour will occur rain or shine.  If you have trouble downloading the form, email me (gdh148@yahoo.com) and I will email it back to you.
